It is my privilege and honor to welcome you to Mengo Primary School, the oldest primary school in Uganda, founded in 1897 by the Church Missionary Society (CMS) from London. For over a century, this institution has been a cornerstone of academic excellence, discipline, and holistic education, shaping generations of leaders, professionals, and responsible citizens.
At Mengo Primary, we believe that education is not just about passing exams, but about nurturing well-rounded individuals who are intellectually, morally, and socially competent. As a church-founded, government-aided institution, we integrate faith, integrity, and excellence into every aspect of our learning process.
We are proud to be a co-educational school that fosters equal learning opportunities for both boys and girls. With a dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff, we ensure that our pupils receive the best academic guidance, character development, and mentorship to prepare them for a bright future.
Despite the successes of the past, we recognize that education is an ever-evolving journey. Today, we face challenges, especially in terms of infrastructure and learning resources. We are actively working to upgrade classrooms, improve teaching materials, and enhance our facilities to provide a more conducive learning environment for our students.
As we look to the future, we call upon our alumni, parents, and well-wishers to join us in this noble cause. Your support—whether through mentorship, financial contributions, or engagement in school activities—will help sustain the rich legacy of Mengo Primary School.
I encourage every student to work hard, stay disciplined, and embrace a positive attitude towards learning. Parents and guardians, we deeply value your partnership in nurturing and guiding these young minds towards success.
Together, we shall continue to inspire, educate, and transform lives.
Thank you for being part of the Mengo Primary family!
